Baesler’s Market Installs Deli Ordering Kiosks

Community-based independent Baesler’s Market in Terre Haute, Ind., has installed self-order kiosks in its deli to maintain high service levels in the face of increasing demand.

The grocer is using the Deli 1-2-3 system from Troy, Mich.-based NEXTEP Systems, which incorporates two freestanding kiosks, an order-status monitor and an order-display system.

“The size of average orders in our deli has increased, and our customer service in the deli is also growing and improving, thanks to our NEXTEP ordering system,” said Bob Baesler, owner and president of Baesler’s Market. “Our deli customers like using the self-order kiosks, and the system allows them to get their shopping done much quicker -- which is a real plus.”

The system enables shoppers to order their deli selections directly from an electronic touchscreen for pickup at their convenience.

NEXTEP develops touch-screen ordering, digital menu boards, and online ordering solutions for the foodservice industry.
