Autumn Thomas Promoted to COO of PFMA
The Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association (PFMA) promoted Autumn Thomas to COO. In her new role, Thomas will oversee the association's membership marketing.
Thomas’ career with PFMA spans more than 26 years, and she most recently served as president of its Pennsylvania Coupon Redemption Services (PCRS) subsidiary.
“Autumn’s strong knowledge and experience with all facets of PFMA’s business operations will help lead the association as we prepare for the future,” said David McCorkle, PFMA president and CEO.
In addition to her duties at PFMA, Thomas also serves on the board of directors for PCRS as well as previously serving on the ProLogic Retailer Board of Advisors and Pennsylvania’s Department of Agriculture’s Weights and Measures Standards Advisory Board.
The association also named Alex Baloga to the new role of director of government and public relations, in which he will continue to lead government relations efforts at local, state and federal levels as well as supervise the legislative research and communications teams. Balago joined PFMA last year as director of government relations.
“Alex has done an excellent job of lobbying for a wide range of legislative and regulatory issues and communicating them to our members,” McCorkle said. “He will work closely with our team to maintain the management of association committees and membership communications.”
Balaga also heads PFMA’s legislative, pharmacy and WIC committees as well as representing the association for coalitions working on legislative and regulatory issues.
