Aurora Pharmacy Picks Up 6 Osco Drug Stores

MILWAUKEE - Aurora Pharmacy here acquired six Osco Drug Stores in southeast Wisconsin, all of which are all currently part of Supervalu's Jewel-Osco chain.

Aurora Pharmacy has purchased the pharmacy portion of each of the combination stores from Supervalu, which had recently announced plans to sell its Jewel-Osco stores in southeastern Wisconsin.

"Adding these sites enables us to build upon the convenient locations of our current pharmacies and expand our customers' options to meet their prescription medication needs," said John Gates, Aurora's director of pharmacy operations.

Aurora Pharmacy, with currently more than 120 retail operations, is part of Aurora Health Care, a non-profit Wisconsin health care provider and a nationally recognized leader in efforts to improve the quality of health care. Aurora offers services in more than 90 communities throughout eastern Wisconsin.
