Associated Grocers of Seattle Promotes Reining to Meat Manager
SEATTLE -- Supermarket wholesaler Associated Grocers of Seattle yesterday promoted Terry Reinig to the position of meat manager of AG's meat department.
In his new role, Reinig will be responsible for managing all facets of the meat department's purchasing and merchandising programs. In addition, he will be responsible for attaining company goals for service levels to retailers, inventory turns and profits. Terry will report directly to Carl Morley, v.p., fresh foods.
Terry joined AG in July as a meat buyer, bringing more than 25 years of meat and food industry management experience. Prior to joining AG, Terry held management positions of increasing responsibility at retail, wholesale and at the production level of the business. His resume includes owning and operating his own dairy farm. He later became general manager of Meadow Farm Foods, in Los Angeles.
In 1994, he joined National Pax, a frozen foods and beverage manufacturer, in Riverside Calif. as v.p. of operations, where he started its "just-in-time" program and increased productivity by 65 percent. In 1996, he accepted the position of general manager of Old Settlers Jerky Company. In 2000, he joined Melody Meat and Seafood in Seattle as operations manager.
