A&P Opens Remodeled Staten Island, N.Y., Store

The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Co.’s (A&P) newly renovated 55,000-square-foot Staten Island, N.Y., Pathmark, which officially opened Oct. 5, features upgraded seafood and meat, deli and bakery sections; enhanced floral and produce departments; and diverse offerings catering to the surrounding community, which includes residents of Hispanic, Mediterranean and Eastern European descent. Montvale, N.J.-based A&P plans additional store remodels in its Northeast market area.
