A&P Joins 15th Annual Halloween Promotion to Battle Children's Cancer
MONTVALE, N.J. -- The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. here has joined with businesses across the country to help battle childhood cancer, through the retailer's 15th annual Halloween Promotion benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
During the month-long promotion, employees at the participating businesses will ask patrons to make a $1 donation to the hospital. Those that contribute will be able to write their names on pumpkin-themed pinups, which the business will display through Halloween.

Since it began in 1992, the program has raised over $30 million for St. Jude. This year the goal is to sell more than 5 million pumpkin pinups by Oct. 31.
