A&P Banners Introduce Rewards Program, Sweepstakes

Two new promotions at banners operated by the Montvale, N.J.-based A&P Tea Co. (A&P) enable customers to derive even more value from the shopping experience. Under the “Lower Price Project Rewards” program, which runs through Dec. 31, every time an A&P, Waldbaum’s or SuperFresh shopper spends $300, she’ll get a coupon for 5 percent off her next purchase.

Customers need only present their Savings Club Cards every time they shop to take part in the program, and the certificates accrued add up: Shoppers can collect up to seven for a maximum savings of 35 percent, or $500. To qualify for a certificate, purchases must be made by Dec. 23. Certificates are redeemable through Dec. 31. Complete program rules are available at the banner stores and websites.

Meanwhile, all Pathmark customers have the chance to be winners, thanks to the A&P banner’s Shop 2 Win Sweepstakes. Through Dec. 30, for every $25 a shopper spends, she’ll automatically be entered to win one of two $100 Pathmark store gift cards.

If a customer spends $50, she earns two entries, and an outlay of $100 earns four entries -- up to eight entries. The more shoppers spend, the more opportunities they have to win.

To participate, shoppers just scan their Pathmark Advantage Club Cards whenever they visit the store. A new Shop 2 Win Sweepstakes starts weekly on Friday and will run through the following Thursday.

The first two $100 gift card winners will be revealed in Pathmark’s e-newsletter starting on or about Oct. 6. Additionally, with every entry, customers earn a chance to win the grand prize of $5,000 in Pathmark gift cards. The grand-prize winner will be revealed at the promotion’s end.

Shoppers can find out more about the sweepstakes at www.pathmark.com.
