Angelo Caputo’s Opens 8th Location

Angelo Caputo's Fresh Market opened its 8th location in Carol Stream, Ill., on Sept. 25. The 10,000-square-foot store features Caputo’s new Next Generation Fresh Format that includes a new CO2 refrigeration system -- the first time it’s been installed in the U.S. and the largest application in the world. Other sustainable features include LED lighting and electric vehicle charging stations.

“We’re extremely proud and excited to unveil our newest store in Carol Stream,” said Robertino Presta, the company’s CEO. “We’ve worked very diligently to produce a shopping experience on a whole new level.  I like to refer to it as an event for our consumers and their lifestyles.  Food is what we know and we understand the impact that a great meal has when enjoyed with family and friends. We want to be that destination for them and be a part of providing that experience.”

The store retains the fresh produce and organic selection that Angelo Caputo is known for as well as offering a fresh juice bar and yogurt parfait bar. In addition to the traditional fresh meat/seafood and deli departments, the new location features open production space allowing customers to view the fresh production of sausage, mozzarella, pasta and bakery products like cookies, pastries and cakes.

Made-in-house meals and pizza are just a few options available in the new food court, with casual dining seating and an outdoor patio. Just outside the food court is the new Bar Angelo, which offers a variety of craft beers and wine.

“The Angelo Caputo Family and staff are very excited for the opportunity to serve our new neighbors in Carol Stream and the surrounding communities. The investment, although significant, has proven to be very rewarding to the future of our family business, and as the final phase emerges we take great pride in being able to bring hundreds of new job opportunities to the immediate area with an unmatched facility,” Presta said.
