Andronico's Community Markets Reinvents

San Francisco Bay Area grocer Andronico's Community Markets has been reinventing itself over the last several months with store renovations, a certified butcher program and a new mix of eclectic and organic foods.

"We're fully engaged and committed to providing our customers with fresh, quality food at affordable prices,” said COO Justin Jackson. "We're really excited about our plans for the future focusing on our communities with great customer service and unparalleled industry knowledge that you just won't see anywhere else".

Besides the multi-million dollar investment for store renovations and repairs, the management team is also focused on investing in its people. All of the company's butchers have just completed a comprehensive certification program.

In addition, Andronico's has a team of highly skilled chefs in each of their stores that cook on-site. They create a vast array of prepared foods as well as menus for catering functions. "You should see the activity behind the counter,” said chef Dale Divish. “It's like cooking in our own restaurant. It really does make Andronico's a special place to work and why I love it.”

The approach of Andronico's procurement team is to provide a wide variety of products with unique items not seen anywhere else. "Our product selection is really amazing as you can find everything from A-to-I've never seen that before,” said director of grocery Jessica Willett.

Andronico's operates five stores that feature a wide range of specialty, organic and natural grocery items, fresh and locally grown produce, full-service meat and fish counters, on-site chefs, one-of-kind and imported food brands, fresh flowers, a deli with freshly cooked foods, artisan baked goods and kitchenware.
