American Heroes Fund Continues at Giant Food
To date, Giant Food stores in the Baltimore/Washington area and their Super G division stores serving the Delaware valley region have collected over $250,000 for the company's American Heroes Fund.
Giant Food, and the other operating companies that come under the Ahold USA banner, will support the program by matching funds collectively raised (dollar for dollar) up to $1 million. Customers can continue to make contributions at their local Giant Food or Super G stores. All of the dollars raised through the American Heroes Fund will be given to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund and other organizations that support disaster relief activities and assist victims and families affected by the September 11 Washington and New York tragedies.
