Albertsons President, COO Resigns
BOISE, Idaho - Albertsons Inc. announced late Thursday that Peter L. Lynch has resigned his positions as president, chief operating officer and director to pursue other interests. The company said it has no plans to replace Lynch, who leaves Albertsons after a 36-year career in the supermarket industry.
Concurrently, Larry Johnston, chairman and CEO of the company, will assume the additional responsibilities of president. All functional areas of the company previously reporting to Lynch will now report to Johnston.
"Peter has been a valuable part of the Albertsons team. We truly appreciate his dedicated efforts and hard work on behalf of the Company and wish him the best in his future endeavors," said Johnston.
