Albertsons Names New Group V.P., Grocery Merchandising

BOISE, Idaho - Albertsons, Inc. has named Duncan MacNaughton its new group v.p., grocery merchandising. In his new post, MacNaughton will lead Albertsons' efforts in key center store categories, including grocery, dairy, and frozen, and will also oversee Beer/Wine/Liquor as well as the company's growing fuel center operations.

MacNaughton has worked on both sides of the industry fence, with experience at a leading supermarket organization and at a major manufacturer. Having spent the last six years with H-E-B Grocery Co., MacNaughton most recently served as group v.p. Prior to that, he spent 13 years with Kraft Foods, where he was integrally involved in areas such as category planning, strategic grocery marketing, brand development, trade planning, and product positioning.
