Albertsons Names Executive VP, Supply Chain
BOISE, Idaho - Albertsons Inc. on Tuesday announced C.J. "Gabe" Gabriel has been named executive VP, supply chain. Gabriel will report to president and COO Peter Lynch and serve on the company's executive council.
Gabriel succeeds Tom Brother, who recently announced his plans to retire as executive VP, distribution.

"Gabe has an outstanding 20-year track record highlighted by consistent revenue, profit and shareholder contributions. He is a supply chain expert, and we will benefit from his extensive experience, proven results and outstanding leadership."
Gabe joins Albertsons from Newgistics Inc. where he held the position of president, CEO and chairman of the board. While at Newgistics, he led an international joint venture comprised of four Fortune 100 corporations specializing in leading-edge supply chain management and technology for multi-channel retailers and B2B reverse logistics.
Gabe's career also includes senior leadership positions, primarily in the areas of supply chain, logistics and operations, at Pepsi-Cola, American Hospital Supply, Corporate Express, and Newgistics.
