Ahold's Albert Heijn Unit Ends Boycott of Unilever Products
AMSTERDAM - Royal Ahold NV's flagship Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn Monday said it has reached an agreement with Unilever, ending its boycott of a number of Unilever products in a dispute over prices, Dow Jones news wires reports.
Unilever's products will again be available in Albert Heijn stores beginning Tuesday, Albert Heijn said.
Since Sept. 20, Albert Heijn had boycotted a number of Unilever products in a bid to squeeze out more price reductions.
The two companies held talks and reached an agreement, the Dutch retailer said.
Albert Heijn said that given the short time span of the boycott, many shops still had Unilever products in stock.
