Ahold Publishes Online, Mobile Versions of 2010 Reports

Ahold has issued the Web versions of its Annual Report 2010 and Corporate Responsibility Report 2010, which can both be downloaded at www.ahold.com. This year, dedicated formats of the reports are also available for mobile devices, among them the iPhone and BlackBerry, while the regular web versions of both reports are fully compatible with iPad technology.

Both 2010 reports feature short introductory videos from Dick Boer, CEO of the Amsterdam-based retail conglomerate. Additional functionality includes buttons to share content via social media, “poll” questions to canvas reader opinion about corporate responsibility issues, and an interactive tool for comparing the 2010 data with that of previous years.

Ahold was among the first companies to publish its reports online only, as a way to lessen its environmental impact and remain at the forefront of technology. Since 2008, the reports have been published exclusively in html and pdf format.
