Ahold Chief Business Support Manager Quits
AMSTERDAM -- Ahold here said yesterday that its chief business support officer, Arthur Brouwer, has resigned to accept a position at another company. Dick Boer, president and c.e.o. of the Albert Heijn Arena in the Netherlands and an acting member of Ahold's corporate executive board, will take over Brouwer's duties until they are "transitioned," according to the company. That process should take place over the next few weeks.
Brouwer became chief business support officer in October 2003, after serving for more than a decade at the company in such positions as chief support officer for Europe region and s.v.p. of management development & organization.
