Ahold Appoints Randy Guttery to President/CEO CRC Thailand
ZAANDAM, The Netherlands/BANGKOK, Thailand - The Ahold Corporate Executive Board has appointed Randy Guttery president and CEO CRC Ahold in Thailand, effective Dec. 1, 2001.
In his new position, Guttery will head the Ahold joint venture company in Thailand with 45 TOPS supermarkets and sales of approximately Euro 350 million. Currently, he is interim CEO and earlier he held the position of executive vice president. He came to Asia in 1995 from an executive position at Ahold's U.S. supermarket company BI-LO in the Carolinas.
In the Asia Pacific region, Ahold operates close to 100 TOPS supermarkets and convenience stores in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia with annualized sales of approximately Euro 0.5 billion. The company says it plans to further develop its Asian operations.
