Acme Launches ‘Teacher of the Month’ Program
Acme Markets is rolling out its “Teacher of the Month” recognition program to honor the contributions of teachers in the communities of all 116 Acme stores.
Similar to the company’s Customer of the Month program, this new initiative aims to deepen the connection between Acme and the local community.
“Acme believes that by helping to create stronger communities, we enhance the quality of life for customers and associates,” said Dan Sanders, Acme president. “We also know being a good neighbor also means providing for our customers beyond our store's walls. The ‘Teacher of the Month’ program aims to connect Acme with the local schools and teachers by celebrating their selfless service to students and the community.”
Each Acme store will establish an associate selection committee and teachers are nominated by both associates and customers who choose to fill out a nomination form at their local store. Each month, store directors and committee members will review and select a winner as a group. Majority rules and teacher nominations not selected as a winner will automatically roll into the next month’s eligible options for consideration by the committee. No purchase is required to enter or win.
At monthly recognition ceremonies, winners will be honored with an Acme gift card, exclusive Teacher of the Month shopping bags, a certificate signed by the store director and a photo displayed in the store.
Earlier this year, Acme launched a Customer of the Month program to honor top customers at its stores. It was designed to recognize and demonstrate the appreciation Acme holds for its customers.
Part of the Supervalu family of stores, Acme Markets operates 116 stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland.
