4 Join Weis Management Team

Weis Markets has added directors of pharmacy operations, floral, technical services and equipment purchasing to its management team.

Rick Seipp, Weis Markets’ new director of pharmacy operations, will oversee day-to-day operations of the Sunbury, Pa.-based company’s 119 in-store pharmacies. He joins the company from Rite Aid, where he was a pharmacy district manager.

As director of floral, Lucy Jason will guide the marketing, merchandising, sales planning and procurement for Weis Markets’ floral departments. She previously worked at Wegmans Food Markets, where she worked in floral for 23 years.

In his new role of director of technical services, Mark Shearer will be responsible for administration of the food retailer’s information technology systems, networks, databases and security. He joins Weis Markets from Hewlett-Packard, where he worked as a service delivery executive.

Eric Erikson, the company’s new director of equipment purchasing, last worked at Meijer, where he held various roles, among them director of global sourcing. At Weis Markets, he will spearhead the development of new purchasing systems and the streamlining of procurement programs.

Weis Markets operates 164 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, New Jersey and West Virginia.
