3 Former Harveys Re-open Under Food World Banner

HAC, Inc. today re-opened three former Harveys Supermarket locations in Statesboro and Vidalia, Ga., under the regional chain's Food World banner.

Oklahoma-based HAC purchased the locations following the sale of 12 stores from Delhaize Group to Bi-Lo Holdings in February of this year.

The three new Food World locations will be added to the nine stores acquired by the HAC, Inc. group in October 2013, adding to the company’s growing presence in the Georgia market.

“The Harvey’s locations are full of dedicated, long-term associates and we plan to provide them with the tools they need to continue to serve their guests with outstanding service," said Darryl Fitzgerald, CEO of HAC. "Our focus will be on fresh, quality products, friendly service, with a strong commitment to the local community."

Food World will offer its line of Best Choice and Always Save private label items, Georgia-grown products, triple inspected produce, as well as a new Passport to Rewards card for customers to use at the register for special promotions and giveaways.
